The Southern California Master Chorale joined the Cal State Long Beach Chamber Choir in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony at the invitation of the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra.
This was the opening concert in the LBSO’s 75th anniversary season. The concert was held at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach at 8:00 PM.

The Southern California Master Chorale joined the Cypress Masterworks Chorale in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony this time accompanied by dual pianos played by the talented team of Pinio Dovalis Benatatos and Katheryn Kline. The concert was the opening concert in the Cypress College Choir 2009 – 2010 season. Other choirs from the college were featured performing an assortment of pieces including excerpts from Durufle’s Requim.
The concert was held at the Cypress College Theater at 4:00 PM.

The 2009 Vampire’s Ball fundraiser was a huge success. A great time was had by all who attended. The event was such a success that we are going to do it again. This time the event will be bigger and better than ever. The event will take place at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach. A fabulous site for a fabulous party. Meritáge presented its third fall concert, Opus 3. This concert featured the beautifully lush Brahms Liebeslieder Walzer, Ives Circus Band as well as solos and small group pieces by our extremely talented singers.

The Southern California Master Chorale joined the Long Beach Symphony Pops for our 5th appearance in their Holiday Pops! Celebration. It was the perfect "ornament" for your holiday calendar — a spectacle of singing, dancing and making merry. As always, designed to delight all ages.

Meritáge made a special guest appearance at the Cypress Holiday Concert at Cypress College. The concert was held at the Cypress College Theater.

Meritáge will make another guest appearance at the Cypress College Spring Concert. This concert will feature the Cypress Masterworks Chorale and Chamber Singers. Each choir will perform their own selections including a wide variety of choral favorites. They will also join forces to present the Sanctus from the Verdi Requiem to give a sample of the amazing music coming up on May 23rd when the Southern California Master Chorale (an expanded version of Meritáge) will join forces with the Cypress Masterworks Chorale to bring you the Verdi Requiem with full orchestra.

Meritáge will have its final concert of the year. This concert will again feature our many talented singers in a wide variety of songs from many genres. The choir as a whole will present many of their favorite pieces from their concerts together over the last 20 years or so. Light jazz, spirituals, contemporary and classical favorites alike. There is sure to be enough great music to please one and all.

The Southern California Master Chorale will join forces with the Cypress Masterworks Chorale in their Music of the Masters performance of Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi. This exciting event will feature a full professional orchestra and the 100 + voices of Dr. Ball’s combined choirs.
